Board looks great from the front, but wood was cracked in the back due to poor workmanship. When notified, company did not apologize, offer a discount, etc. Instead they claimed that the crack did not affect the product quality and mentioned that they usually did nothing in cases like this.
I can’t speak to the quality of the product but don’t recommend them if you are working with a deadline. I ordered a 24”x 36” board a month ago and I still haven’t received it yet. My client is furious. I love quality when it its delivered within a reasonable amount of time. This isn’t reasonable for such a small item.
I have wanted a blackboard for years and New York Blackboard really came through on this! The board quality is excellent and it is exactly what I wanted. I spoke with Charley and he was very informative. If you are looking for a high quality chalkboard for a great price, this is the place to go to!!! I hope my attached images really highlight the quality. We did install our board in the basement so we had to pick up smaller screws to avoid drilling into the concrete behind the drywall but L brackets were easy to use!
I did not expect to review the experience of purchasing a simple chalkboard, but this was exceptional. Everything from the details of the item itself, to the packaging and installation hardware, appears to be hand-crafted in the best possible way. Highly recommended, especially compared to my previous attempts with Etsy or a certain giant internet retailer. Also, Charley was very helpful to me. Thank you.
