This was my third time attending .This was the best venue location by far. The stunning scenery & Fireworks really added to the night. As expected, the bars were busy at peak times, but the staff handled it well, & once the rush subsided, it was easy to grab a drink. We were able to order 3 drinks at a time for friends, making things easier. The variety of drinks on offer was fantastic & the atmosphere was great too.. the dance floor was really pumping!!
The Metropolis venue was absolutely stunning! Watching the sunset over the Yarra and the Melbourne skyline was really nice. The location really set the tone. It was a great venue for a NYE party. We had some cocktail food & lots to drink. We really enjoyed the Expresso Martini’s!! We found the toilets were easily accessible, we used the ones, down the escalators.
If I could give 0 stars I would. We came down from Brisbane and saw this event for NYE in Melbourne and thought wow what good value. We got to the event at around 930pm. What a disaster. Half the venue inside were the lines to the bar. It took 20 minutes to get served. And they encourage binge drinking by saying it's a 3 drink max per person. So of course you get 3 drinks at a time. Absolutely appalling way of dealing with people. My mate had called to book a ticket last minute on the number listed on the website. The person who answered the call was SO rude, he even hung up on him AND used profanity. I mean its a new years party, is that how you really think you speak to ANYONE especially considering the time of yearb That said, the rest of us still had to go as we wouldn’t get refunds and let me tell you -there were NO panoramic views of the fireworks, it was absolutely overcrowded and the finger-food... read more
