I signed up for a 36 month fixed rate of $0.50 per ccf of natural gas. When my contract expired they switched my rate to a variable rate of $1.407 per ccf. Switching to a variable rate is totally within the contract terms. But they tell me they sent 2 letters informing me that my rate was due to expire, which I never received. The problem is there is no accountability on their part to provide you how they determined that rate. This company is a complete scam. They claim to have you in a "fixed" rate...and we have that option checked off on the contract. Then they hit you with SEVERAL HUNDRED in fees each month. It's crippling to a business. This place needs investigated and shut down. Clearly the majority of the ppl took valuable time out of their day to come here and write reviews claiming their frustration with this company. A D- rating should tell you all you need to know.

New Wave helped me switch from my previous supplier, who was charging me 3x as much as I am used to paying. They moved me into a fixed rate with price protection. Apparently electric and gas markets skyrocketed last year causing the spikes. They took the time to explain that to me. Jessica was great to work with. Highly recommend

Out of contract after 3 years service. 1rst month charged at more 2 time the going rate for gas., $85.00 instead of $41.00 for variable rate I could with ********.

New wave energy saved us a ton of money on our energy costs. They have always been easy to work with and very transparent with any charges or information on our bills. Steer clear of these scammers! I signed up for a 3 year contract at $.074 kwh. Now a year later I am being charged $.073 kwh in charges not listed in my contract. In other words my bill has doubled. I was told it was due to " supply chain" issues! I never realized electric was shipped in on planes, trains, and automobiles! What a lie, they just want to r*** the middle class as usual so they have record profits for the elite. New Wave has been my supplier for nearly a year (3 year contract), LOCKED in at $.064. A great rate until they added all these additional fees which double my bill when the electric rates spiked. I spoke with customer service several times and only provide me excesses and stated the excess charges shouldn't last long. If you decide to work with them, be sure you know what you are getting into. They can simply raise the additional fees anytime their margins slip.
