Only good for Wedding Banquets I've been here for many a Chinese Wedding banquet and the food during those times is actually pretty good. But because they seem to make all their money doing banquets, the quality is quite lacking during other times in the day. Also, the Dim Sum is quite uninspired and just isn't good quality. I still have to head down to Wheaton and Silver Spring if I want quality Dim Sum.
Weekend Winner! Besides having a nice variety of traditional Cantonese & Schezuan dishes, New Fortune also offers Dim Sum every day of the week. Monday thru Friday, Dim Sum is ordered ala Carte from a limited menu. On Saturday & Sunday, however, New Fortune truly shines! The food is brought out on carts & the full variety is available to choose from! IThe dishes range from $2.50 -$3.75 each so a nice assortment for 4 can be had for under $40! Dim Sum is offered between the hours of 11AM-3PM.
