Took a family member here for alcohol and stimulant abuse. One of the leaders of the facility was his therapist years ago, and did great with him so we had high hopes for this center. He’s a severe case and I spoke in detail to the nurse, Kelly and intake about his history with detox and what does and doesn’t work for him. His tolerance to medication is extremely high. BEFORE YOU CONSIDER THIS PLACE FOR MENTAL HEALTH CARE, ASK NC DHS WHAT THEY THINK. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. PLACE IS A MONEY MAKING SCAM. $100k out of pocket to live 30 days in an office building across the street from a Walmart in central Raleigh?! They should be shut down.
I m a former client of New Waters and while my care was adequate for addiction, when I called and requested mental health treatment for my son, I was told the price would range from $25k-100k and could not be covered by insurance. The real shame is that this facility actually advertises its mental health services yet is far outpriced for most people. So, if you are wealthy, congratulations. Otherwise, steer clear.
