My experience: After scheduling detox to quit taking prescription pain meds, and after scheduling 3 days off of work, I met with the intake woman and checked in. After reaching my room, I NEVER received ANY comfort meds, even though I was told by my nurse, and my doctor that I would. After the doctor and the nurse came in my room and talked with me, they both told me that in 20 minutes, I would receive comfort meds, and then a few hours after that, I would receive detox meds.
