Brought my mare in on 12-21-17 to have her left rear leg checked out since she had some kind of pre-existing injury I needed get a veterinary opinion on and see how much it made her lame. Staff was very kind and professional. The veterinarian was very honest and said x-rays or joint injections would just be too costly, and it's hard to tell what exactly was affected.
