We were not impressed with New River Animal hospital. We took our 14 year old dog there for fluid in his lungs, coughing through the night. I explained to assistant that he had a heart murmur and was given lasix 12.5 mg during the night and that allowed him to sleep. After waiting over an hour in the room with our dog somewhere else. Our first and last visit to New River Vet was not only a complete waste of time and money, but also a disastrous mistake in trying this clinic with our pet. The long wait times without access to our loved one even after asking to please see her, the lack of communication from the staff, the heartlessness and the lack of compassion from the ER Vet all made this situation miserable. Dr Sarah Marnin is an incredible doctor. We thought our cat Purrisilla was going to die but under Dr Marnin she is getting better, putting on weight and doing her usual routine after chemotherapy. She had no side effects. The staff at New River are so kind and professional. The other clients I have met in the waiting room have shared their success stories about their pets. I highly recommend New River.
I brought my cat that was in a lot of pain, I only wanted them to at least get him out of pain and to help me with his very simple procedure they said was needed but I am finding out that money is way more important than my precious cat's health. I am sure I will find a kind hearted vetinarian tomorrow when they are open. It's Sunday and I thought this place was a kinder place than what I experienced so I traumatized my cat for nothing and now I'm having to have his feces and painful cries all night and who knows how long.
