Worse company ever. Always charging extra payments. Not paying taxes or insurance correctly.
Had my loan transferred automatically from one company to Newrez. Their chat technology is extremely dated and clunky. Their UI of the dashboard and account is terrible. And to update a payment method (which they have saved on file) I have to print a form and mail it in. Everything about this business is ran backwards. I will be moving my loan to a new company asap. DO NOT HAVE THESE GUYS MANAGE YOUR HOME LOAN
The online web site is confusing and not very user friendly for those Not versed in the online world.
Follow up to a previous review - we purchased a home earlier this year via an assumption mortgage through Newrez. Approximately 6 weeks after closing on the home, we were notified by our insurance company that they were going to drop us because Newrez had not paid them. It took at least 3-4 separate calls to Newrez to get them to transfer the loan into our name, not the name of the people we had purchased the home from, and to take the people we bought the home from off of the accounts. If you ever have an option of using this company, please do not. We had a fire And they're withholding our checks, requesting that we provide waiver of lean for companies that did not do work. We did the work ourselves. They even asked me to filled-out a waiver of lien. The companies that gave us proposals never even heard of such a thing.
