“Prison Slop with a Side of River Views” If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be served lunch at 10:45 in the morning, this is the cruise for you. We booked the 12:15 second sitting but were told there was only one, so we were marched straight to a table like naughty schoolchildren headed for detention. Almost did not do this wonderful experience as it seemed so "touristy", then, since we were tourists, we did the dinner/jazz cruise. The Steam Boat is magnificent, in beautiful shape, and there was only a very short wait once we arrived to check our tickets and get on board. We were immediately seated in a very nice dining room with white tablecloths and polite wait staff who brought us delicious Ceasar salads, followed by soup and beverages. What a SHAME! It’s something that you think you must do when visiting NOLA. We were here in 2017 and didn’t have a chance to do it. We finally came back, 8 of us, and booked the Sunday Jazz brunch buffet tour. We paid almost $90.00 for the tour and brunch and that a DISAPPOINTMENT!
