The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Center is a melting pot of culture. This community-driven establishment, located in a historic building in Tremé, is home to a 200-seat performance venue as well as seven classrooms. It hosts an array of live concerts, dance and performing arts by local and touring artists and musicians. Their aim is to educate and inspire music talent, and to carry forward the legacy of southeast Louisiana.

Been coming here every year since 1993 and it's an addiction to world class music, musicians, hospitality and food. There truly is no place like Jazzfest. And to make it even more special, in 2008 I met a wonderful man at JF who would propose to me in 2010 at JF and then we were married in NOLA later in 2010. A truly magical adventure and city!
I always enjoy it-- price is too high though. Looks like no one cares about that as the crowd is still there.
A Saturday well spent with all the ingredients for an awesome JazzFest: fantastic weather, vibrant crowd, good friends... and son Albert performing on the Gentilly Stage with NPR's "Tiny Desk" winners Tank and The Bangas!!!
