As a LMT who travels the world to experience various massage techniques I must say this was the worst experience EVER from the moment I entered the establishment until I departed. I have never experienced such level of disrespect. My wife and I today enjoyed a foot spa experience, during which I tipped 20%. However, as I was leaving the establishment, the owner rather assertively asked for additional tip, emphasizing that it wasn't a restaurant. While I am always willing to reward excellent service, I found the owner's approach very disrespectful and arrogant. Perhaps she should put a sign that says "CUSTOMERS WHO TIP 20% OR LESS ARE NOT WELCOME…". I wonder how much she pays her employees. $90 dollars was the price of my massage. I gave them $20 dollars extra. The owner told me to give more, I refused, explained that $20 was more than 20%, she told me that they are not a restaurant. Great! Never going again. The massage wasn’t great anyways. I understand generosity is greatly appreciated when the service is great, it wasn’t but I still left a tip.
