New Mexico Educator's has the worst customer service. They also charge $35 for overdraft fees - most banks charge $26. They also charge a daily fee each day until the overdraft is rectified. I even experienced an overdraft fee when there was more than enough in the account to cover the costs. They were rude and told me I was wrong. I was looking at my statement and there was a positive balance before and after the actual charge and the fee. UNBELIEVABLE!! My bank merged with NM Educators so I tried them out. I am so glad I switched from the Big Bank to the credit union. Easy-going polite friendly service, never have to wait in line. It's great to do business with people who treat you like their neighbor and friend. Also, consider the ongoing devastation of our nation's economy being perpetrated by the big multi-national Banksters, and the fact that banking with a locally owned bank or credit union helps the local economy.
