My dad was in a rehab facility and within one week time, hit 2 nurses, his wife and kicked and slapped me. He was sent to Holston Valley ER where they said would send to New Leaf. New Leaf refused him as they said his blood sugar is too high even though it is chronic and all HV doc said he was stable. So now sending him home on a Friday night with no warning to my mom house. This place is ridiculous!!! My husband's mother is there and he's been trying to reach her since Thanksgiving, to talk to her and check on her,they say he has to have a code??? But the place had been calling him for days before that??? It's like she's in prison!!! They have taken her phone as well, we have no idea her condition or anything!!! We live in another state and I suppose we will be making a trip to this prison.This place is pathetic, worse than prison, not allowing family to speak or know your loved ones condition!... read more
Don't send your family member here. I think most of the staff was really nice except for a couple rude ones but my sister was sent there all they did for her in 3 weeks was let her sit in a dark room taking her outside a couple times and to the day room she had NO counseling no group sessions no nothing she was worse mentally when we finally got her away from there. I'm so glad she's finally home and doing much better. please stay vawsy from there...Donna
Not recommended. They don't tell the truth. Go somewhere else.
