Reluctant due to the 68% review, but I am happy I chose to come regardless of the rating. Service was excellent and the food above average. Came with a party of 4 Japanese residents visiting from Japan. Again, they remphasized the quality of the fish and the superb service. Price is average and right for quality. Highly recommend.
Spent 30 min waiting for the chef to even glance our way at the sushi bar. Never got any service. Ended up walking out. Been there a few times and will never, ever go back. Quality is second rate as is service. Unacceptable.
I should have figured when the first piece of sushi I ordered (Albacore) was seared. The price was $22 for all you an eat lunch. Not worth the money. Avoid this place if you like good sushi.
My Favorite Sushi Place. Been going here for a few years as I haven't found a better all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. Everything (except the kitchen items like the green mussels) is made right in front of you by the sushi chef. Else, it's hard to find a sushi place where you don't leave hungry for under $25. I'm sure there are places where the sushi is better quality for those with discriminating taste, but I'd rate Kyoto's as "very good."
