SCAMM That’s the only word to describe this company. NJ Gas & Elec illegally started charging me years ago and I will report their fraudulent actions again. I hate gas and would never want it, even if you paid me to have it. I live far south from Ewing and already have Atlantic City Electric which I have been very happy with. DO NOT have anything to do with NJ Gas & Elec as this company is soooo fraudulent. They don’t even deserve a “1” rating more like “-100”
One star is still overstatement of what they call "service". If you want your bill to double, fall for their scam. They claim the bill will be about the same or less, but it ended up being at least twice expensive. The salesman who walked up to the door will not give you the right information. Do not do business with them.
I normally only post positive reviews in an effort to help share my positive experience with businesses. However, I am posting this review to protect consumers. DO NOT do business with NJG&E. They will tell you they will be offering you rates better than what you are paying with PSE&G, but each month you will be paying a lot more. The contract terms are for two years and cancellation is $20 per month ($10 for electric and $10 for gas). Paying the cancellation fees is still so much cheaper than continuing with their service.
SCAM! Be aware of this company, NJGE employee going door to door representing himself as PSGE employee and trying to scam you in to signing your gas and electric service to NJGE. Here is the SCAM, person acting as PSGE employee and was here to make sure we were getting "renewable energy" and needed to check, then would try to take your gas and electric PoD numbers and try to make you sign a "confirmation" that you were getting "renewable energy", but in reality you are signing to change over to their service.
