I recently finalized my guardianship with my 12-year old and was excited to start therapy for her. We had a harmful therapy experience with therapist, Carol Rodriguez at New Hope Family Counseling in Downey. I've done a lot of therapy and have not experienced a therapist gaslighting or invalidating me the way Carol did. She did not respect my boundary setting with my child and cut me off repeatedly.
