Had an issue with a femur facture with my 13 year dog. Options given were save the leg or amputate. We decided to save the leg ( he is 13). Called later and asked about euthanasia as worried he might have issues from the surgery. We were told (vets office) we would not do that for a fixable condition. I get that but a 13 year dog that has muscle atrophy, chronic lameness, hindlimb deficits, and hindlimb neurologic dysfunction (their words). Why would you put a dog through surgery ???????????
