I have requested multiple documents from the office by mail, and have had many phone conversations with the staff and have found all of these interactions to be pleasant and efficiently done. I would suggest that people who have had 'negative' results have expectations above reality, based on the volume of requests and staffing levels.
Needed a birth certificate replaced, super easy, was in and out in 3 minutes, staff was friendly and helpful
I called to ask if my marriage license (which my officiant mailed) was received and the lady who answered the phone was incredibly rude and condescending. First I was told to ask the officiant (again, she mailed it so how would she know if it had been received) and then was told that they can’t tell me if it was received over the phone and my only options were to come there to check or fill out the online form and IF they had received it, they would respond.
