My 95 yrs old and 90percent blind godmother has been there a month or so. At least the place smells better than most. BUT... her oxygen tank was very hot to touch because it was placed too close between the bed and wall 😞 And the level set was below one and needs be on 3+. Of course the clothes are already mixed up and was told by staff (very friendly) that the dyers were all down and most of the washers. She's lost 17 pounds in a month and isn't sick! This is the nastiest Facility I’ve ever encountered. The resident was getting bathed with shampoo pillowcases and socks. I had to go to the dollar store and buy them Clothes and Towels because they didn’t have any. Also, they only have one washing machine they use for more than 30 residents. Also, staff members are washing the resident's clothes together so clothes end up missing. The memory care director doesn’t care about her residents. I had the pleasure to visit New Hanover House recently and I was very impressed with the facilities and staff. Everyone seemed so friendly and my relative loves living there.
