Good place for brunch. A bit of a wait for a table. No reservations needed. Food was good. Service was great.
Came here after church with 4 others and struggled to find an indoor table. Tables are very limited and people are usually working on thier laptops inside due to the coolness and outlets. The anesthetic of this place is definitely a vibe if you're into the minimalist/ neutral tones/ organic look and the food looks very appetizing on the plate. I was so excited to try a new place seeing they had so many gf options we drove 20 minutes out of the was to get here! The woman at the counter took my excitement away with her non welcoming attitude. It completely threw me off so I didn’t even order coffee just food. It was clear we were an annoying her when she gave the customer behind us an annoyed look. The blueberry pancakes were cold in the middle the flavor was just okay. The breakfast burrito was really good! I don’t think we would go out of the way to come back.
I’ve now visited New General Cafe multiple times, and it has quickly become one of my favorite gluten-free-friendly spots in Winter Park. What makes this place stand out is that gluten-free options are thoughtfully integrated throughout the menu rather than treated as an afterthought.
