I’ve been a local to this area and a regular customer of this store for the past three years, but unfortunately I recently had a poor experience. I called on a Friday to ask if an item they stock could be put aside, as I usually purchase from this shop. I went in after work at 4:00 pm (with the shop listed as closing at 5:00 pm), only to find it already closed, with a brief note saying “Sorry for the inconvenience.” While unexpected, I understood that life happens. Attended the store on a Saturday, with only one other customer browsing. The older woman who works there, (who I presume runs/manages the store), is terribly unpleasant and attempts to make you feel uncomfortable while shopping at this store. The older gentleman working there also, was wonderful and couldn’t be more helpful to me, in comparison. Every time I step into this boutique I have the most glorious time! Always such a fabulous array of trinkets and treasures. The staff are so kind and warm and go above and beyond in making sure I leave with the perfect gift! Cannot wait for my next drive up from Sydney to do some Christmas Shopping!
As a local of nearly 20 years, I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a store. While simply browsing, I was followed and watched so closely that I asked if they wanted to check my bag. The staff rudely implied I was hiding something in my pocket, so I showed them it was just my keys. I left feeling humiliated and deeply unwelcome. I won’t be coming back.
Was in the store this morning with my 92 yr old mum who wanted to buy me a birthday present. We visit almost weekly after Brekky or lunch. The older of 2 women working accused me of stealing a $19.95 key ring. I showed her the key ring was mine and it had about 15 keys on it. She said you better put the other one back….
