My grandmother has lived in this community for about 2 years. We moved her from assisted living to memory care at New Dawn and everything changed- her behavior, eating habits and even happiness! Seeing my memaw thrive in an environment she belongs in and is loved in has changed everything. The caregivers are like family.
Amidst the virus. I am happy to have new staff in the building keeping loved ones safe.
The staff is warm and compassionate, they truly care about the residents. They treated my loved one like their own.
New dawn cared for my Mother for about a month. It was a very difficult time for my mother, and unfortunately I do not believe her experience was helped by her placement in building C. At the time, there were only a handful of residents in this building, which created a fairly dull and lonely existence for her. While the caregivers were sweet and kind to my Mom, that didn't make her days very active or vibrant. Most times we visited there were no activities taking place in her building.
