Booked a same day massage for me and my boyfriend. The massage had a relaxing atmosphere, and I appreciated the professionalism and respect they shared. However, I was surprised by the additional charges that weren’t clearly communicated upfront. I believe because I used my Visa card I was charged an additional 9.7% Overall, it was a nice experience. I have no problem paying any amount as long as it is clearly communicated upfront. Break down: $75/1 hr x2 =$150 Tip- $20 =$170 *Extra card fee $16.49 Total payment: $186.49
I cannot say enough good things about Mark Li and the way he runs and manages this place; he truly wants to help his clients feel better, feel relaxed when they enter his spa, and also to educate them on how to take care of themselves. The massage was okay. In my opinion tipping is a nice to do, not an entitlement. If you go above and beyond or provide a great service then a tip is warranted. I did not believe my massage was good enough to warrant a tip so I did not tip. The massuese followed me to my car and I felt harassed about not tipping. Will not be going back.
