We had an absolutely horrible experience with these guys in 2021/2022. I am happy to share details if you reach out to me directly. I was pressured to take my negative review down back then, but am putting it back up because we just discovered a horribly egregious one while doing a second project with an amazing GC now. This is a recommendation for New Avenue. We did a project using New Avenue to build an ADU in our downstairs area. They selected a great architect for us and guided us through the process in a well-organized fashion. It worked out really well for us and I'd recommend that you use them to make the entire process much easier on the homeowner.
They send unsolicited emails to my work address (which at all is not related to homes or Berkley) without link to unsubscribe. So spammy and unprofessional.
I've worked with New Avenue on two separate occasions: once to build a detached ADU and most recently to do a seismic retrofit and a minor remodel of our home. Overall, I've been really happy with their work and open communication. I've experienced some bumps in the ADU build, but the seismic retrofit/remodel experience was fantastic after New Avenue changed their work model and became a full developer (Architect, General Contractor, and all around developer) hiring an amazing General Contracting team.
