Dr. Chaffin is a very good surgeon and explains what needs to be done. The next day follow up was also Excellent. What is very poor is if you have any issues like halos or glare after your follow up it takes for ever to to get in. I have to wait 3 months to have this issue addressed and then if there is a problem that needs a correction in office it is another appointment. Follow-up care is poor. Dr. Chaffin performed laser eye surgery on me 21 years ago this month. He corrected my vision to 20-15 and today at my scheduled eye appointment, my vision has deteriorated to 20-20. Still amazed at the correction I received in 2002, twenty one years ago!

This doctor had no time for me and had no interest in explaining my condition to me nor the possible outcomes. His "bedside" manner was terrible. I actually left this practice after 1 visit, and was willing to drive all the way to UCSF ophthalmology center multiple times a year to have my condition treated, which by the way is a 5 star establishment. Their ophthalmology department is rated in the top 10 in the country. My eyes were too important to leave in the subpar doctors hands.
