This company is disgusting, and they’ve completely changed my opinion on organ donation. I received a call from this company a few hours after my mother died at Sunrise Hospital, which was strange because the hospital never called me to inform me of her death. Yet somehow they were able to find my information once they needed permission to take organs. NDN asked me a litany of disgusting questions that no one should be asked of their loved ones. I understand the importance of donation. I really do, I am a donor. But when your mother passes away and isn't a registered donor they should not be calling you at 2am the day of her death asking for her eyes, and when you say no, they proceeded to keep asking me because they are on a timeline. No means no! Her wishes should be followed and donation was not one of them. Highly insensitive.
