Mikelia Wallace has been working with my partner's 13 year old for almost two years. We have hour-long sessions twice a month in our home. Mikelia is incredibly skilled at what she does. He has progressed so much with her- actively engaging with singing & playing instruments; learning social skills; learning how to express his needs& preferences; learning academic skills like light reading and math. Miss Mikelia, from the first day with our son, speaks his language like no one else does. This is worth its weight in gold for a non-verbal autistic child. She is very musically talented and great at reading her patients. Our son is made to feel very comfortable in the sessions which allows him to be positively encouraged to try new things and or set limits. Our time there every week is a highlight, and we can’t give high enough marks to Mikelia.
