Dr johans worked on my back and my neck. You couldn’t ask for a more down to earth doctor who takes the time to explore all options before surgery and then explains every aspect of surgery should you still need it. He won’t operate on you just for the sake of surgery. Minimal pain afterwards, and his staff is second to none.
In Feb 2025. I woke up one day and couldn't walk. I had excruciating pain from my back on my right leg. I went to the chiropractor, then to urgent care, then to one ER, to another ER. Every where I went they would just give me meds, but not fix the problem. After weeks of crying in the worst pain I had ever felt. I was sent to Dr. Johans, he preformed surgery on my back and it felt better immediately out of surgery. If I ever have back pain again, I know who will be my first call.
Dr. Stephen Johans is an outstanding surgeon and I offer him the highest praise for his character and competence. Dr. Johans truly excels with regards to informing patients of the benefits and risks of surgery. He takes the time to explain the pros and cons of reasonable surgical options, without any pressure to proceed with surgery.
