We had such high hopes when we met Dr Plakas. My husband had 2 brain tumors and Dr Plakas went in to remove them. They found GBM tumors and aggressively took them out but my husband came out of the surgery paralyzed. I wish they were not so aggressive with the removal and we could have had some quality time together rather he suffered horribly for 21 agonizing months.
I was referred to Dr. Plakas by my PCP. When I made the appointment I was told Dr. Plakas would explain my recent MRI results in detail and recommend next steps. Unfortunately it was not the doctor who “reviewed “ my results. I’m sure she has all the proper education, however, she did not show me nor explain the results of the MRI. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Plakas for his exceptional care and expertise. Without his referral from my Pain Management Dr., I would be in a significantly worse position. Dr. Plakas, along with Delaney Semancik PA-C and his entire staff, including nurses, the front desk, and the entire care team, are truly remarkable. Dr. Plakas is amazing, genuinely cares for his patients. Takes his time to explain things to you. And his office staff is phenomenal.
