Two years ago Dr Plakas (and Dr Moss) performed a lumbar spine fusion surgery on me. It has been very successful and I have returned to an active life. I recommend them highly.
We had such high hopes when we met Dr Plakas. My husband had 2 brain tumors and Dr Plakas went in to remove them. They found GBM tumors and aggressively took them out but my husband came out of the surgery paralyzed. I wish they were not so aggressive with the removal and we could have had some quality time together rather he suffered horribly for 21 agonizing months.
I was referred to Dr. Plakas by my PCP. When I made the appointment I was told Dr. Plakas would explain my recent MRI results in detail and recommend next steps. Unfortunately it was not the doctor who “reviewed “ my results. I’m sure she has all the proper education, however, she did not show me nor explain the results of the MRI. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Plakas for his exceptional care and expertise. Without his referral from my Pain Management Dr., I would be in a significantly worse position. Dr. Plakas, along with Delaney Semancik PA-C and his entire staff, including nurses, the front desk, and the entire care team, are truly remarkable.
