I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jamie Schaffer. My mother was referred to her by her neurologist for a dementia evaluation, and I am SO glad we listened to him and made the appointment. Her neurologist actually told us that Dr. Schaffer is the only neuropsychologist he sends his patients to. After our experience, I can definitely see why! I would not recommend Dr. Jamie Schaffer for a neuropsychological evaluation. To be clear, I do not have an issue with my diagnoses. I have an issue with being unable to get a substantive explanation of the clinical reasoning behind them and other consequential documentation. I did not ask her to change her clinical opinion. I asked her to explain it. She did not. I provided an extensive history of lifelong symptoms and functional limitations.
