This doctor doesn’t want to work. He didn’t ask me many questions and quickly attributed chronic headaches and other symptoms I’ve had for years to stress. Another doctor has since given me a real neurological condition as a potential diagnosis after asking very simple questions. Night and day.

We had a poor experience with Dr Shey. He was dismissive and talked down to us. He kept saying there was nothing wrong with my husband. Who has since been tested extensively and diagnosed with early Alzheimer’s by the Doctors at Hoag. Don’t waste your time with this Doctor, keep looking for someone who really cares!

When I initially brought my husband in, to see Dr Shey, I expressed that I had concerns about my husband’s lapsing memory. He performed a crude memory test (not done properly), and informed me that, if he had Alzheimer’s, he would not have remembered the three words he had given to my husband. Dr. Shey is such a blessing! Very attentive to my questions, and made sure I was completely comfortable with my options before going forward. Dr. Shey made me feel completely at ease after my questions. The front office staff is amazing as well, and makes the entire process, from scheduling, to check-in, and eventual follow-up, and absolute breeze.
