I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was extremely rude. I simply asked if this doctor was a regular neurologist, specifically to make sure that he takes regular patients because the doctor I had previously called specialized only in neurosurgery. The woman I spoke to did not answer my question, but instead told me very harshly "YOU ARE CALLING A NEURO-SPECIALTY CENTER", as if I did not know who I was calling and to say "Well, what do you think?". My husband was admitted to the hospital after suffering a minor stroke. Dr. Desai came into my husband's room and with great detail explained where the stroke was, what it effected and the planned treatment. He was very comforting and made sure we understood everything completely. When we returned to his office for the follow up he was just as kind, thoughtful and explained in more detail that results of a follow up MRI. Wonderful staff from the front office to the doctor. Dr Desai took time to listen to my concerns, answer questions and review options with me. As a medical professional myself, it’s nice to see a doctor that not only is top notch at the hospital, but in his practice as well.
