I recently decided to try this restaurant as I am now fully back in the office and wanted to explore new dining options in the area. I visited around 1:30 PM on Tuesday, October 7th. Updated Review: I had some concerns from a previous visit, but the owner addressed them promptly and with sincerity. I truly appreciate the effort to make things right and hope Nesh will always continue to provide the best customer service. The owner is great, and the food here is amazing—definitely one of the best halal options in downtown Chicago!
This place was my favorite for falafel before covid. We used to go there at least once a week. Now that we are back to the office I made the trip down there. The cashier still recognized us this with a smile and a fresh plate. Still one my favorite stops for falafel in the downtown area.
I only came to this restaurant because it is certified Zabiha Halal, but unfortunately this is the second time I have been racially profiled here. On Wednesday, Sept 17 between 4:40 PM – 5:05 PM, I visited with a guest and was shocked at how I was treated. From the moment I entered, the woman behind the counter was rude and dismissive. She slammed my rice bowl in front of me and was shouting unnecessarily.
