My neurosurgeon Dr Dower, was exceptional, attentive, skilled and compassionate, even delaying surgery to reassure me. His care was outstanding. Unfortunately, hospital staff behaviour lundermined the neurosurgeon’s excellent work: • The nurse who wheeled me into the anaesthetic room did not greet or introduce herself, just asked to confirm my details! • The anaesthetic injection was given without telling me, despite my request to the anaesthetic doctor to be informed beforehand. Recently my husband was a patient in Nepean Private Hospital. We were both extremely happy with his treatment by both medical and office staff. This review is actually in relation to an incident I witnessed whilst waiting for his procedure to be completed. An older man was having a problem at the reception desk, as it appeared he had not been given an admission date by his doctor. He was sent away to fill in forms. The staff in day surgery are magnificent. The woman, I think her name is Zoe on the front desk, ground floor, needs to keep her opinions of other areas of the hospital to herself. Whilst waiting for my husband I heard her continually complaining. Maybe get some customer service skills while you are there.
It's a week managed private hospital with good facilities and staff.
