My sister had a really bad experience at this hospital. She has a broken leg and takes injections in her stomach and went to the hospital because she was in pain and needed help. She waited for hours and felt like nobody was listening to her or taking her seriously. When she asked questions or asked for updates some staff members seemed irritated and were rude to her. I had to rate 1 star as I could post this otherwise My Mother did have some good care at Nepean Hospital, but the bad out ways the good. My Mother was given Medical Air instead of Oxygen twice in the one admission due to human medical errors. First a porter placed her oxygen on the Medical Air valve, the nurse turned it on and Mum turned Hypoxic, Cyanotic and Unresponsive and had to be resuscitated. Oral Health Treated for Cancer and Oral Health decided they wanted to stop my Chemo and Radiation so they could remove a whole lot of teeth Told them NO as I couldn't afford a new denture but it was done anyway (just live without it until you can afford a new denture) ICU Was taken into ICU where they removed my denture (fair enough) but they never gave it back to me now I can't speak properly and can't begin to think about eating properly again (reliant on my feeding tube) Staff on the wards are terrible RUDE Lacking in kn... read more
