Horrible doctor. Do not see her. As a retired nurse, I would not recommend her whatsoever. 1. She talks over you 2. Does not listen to concerns 3. Rudely questions the care I receive from my current specialists. 4. Requested certain labs to be done, but as I have a family history of certain diagnoses, she disregarded my request and told me I had what the rest of my family had. Doctor Rocha is an awesome physician. She is compassionate, caring and listens. She always refers me to great specialists, whereas my previous primary care physicians never wanted to refer me to specialists that were crucial to my wellbeing. If Dr. Rocha gets fewer than 5 stars, I strongly believe it's from racists, mysogynists and the like.... I am a complainer by nature, however I have no complaints at all when it comes to Dr. Rocha. I made an appointment this morning, but my Primary Dr. wasn’t available. Glad they were able to schedule me at 2:15pm. I checked in before 2pm on ny App and I sat in the waiting room, they texted me at 2:23pm that my room was ready, but the nurse brought me to the room until 2:30 pm. It’s now 2:55pm and still waiting. I read reviews on Dr. Rocha and they aren’t good. We’ll see!
I like Scripps Coastal but I had a bad experience with Dr. Rocha. First of all, I only scheduled an appointment with her because our primary care physician was not available. Had an issue where an emergency room labeled an Mri for my wife as routine that should have been urgent. I contacted radiology that would be doing the Mri and they said the only way they can make it urgent is if my primary care manager said it is urgent. I waited an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment before I saw the doctor. The only reason given was that she had a talkative patient. No one cared to explain until they were 45 minutes late and they assured me it wouldn't be much longer...15 minutes later I was taken to a room where I wanted another 30 minutes. The walls are paper thin so do not expect privacy. Just choose another doctor and facility.
