Dated rooms, not the cleanest. Staff only attentive sometimes, the rest of the time they don't notice you or look up from whatever they're doing. Especially reception. Not a good spot if ypu want a quiet space. Rowdy each time we've stayed. I guess it's more pub tja anything. Food at bar us ok but if there was morr in town open we'd go elsewhere. We booked a table for 2 in Oct 25, limited menu (new chef started that week) The Good,. We were told upon booking about the limited menu and new chef, the waiter was very good and enthusiastic. The not so good. Not busy in the restaurant but a long wait to be seated and have our drinks order taken. My wife’s meal was the chefs special of a roast chicken dinner. Helpful and friendly people The room we had was spotless and included an iron, ironing board and all we needed. The restaurant service was great, and so were our meals. If traffic noise annoys you, I suggest requesting a room at the rear of the premises, as the heavy trucks roll through in the early hours.

Came for dinner on the balcony. Our little dog was welcome and the food and service were terrific. You must try the Honey/chilli brussel sprouts!
