Nothing has been more terrifying for me than repeated bowel obstructions that have happened over the course of a year. I had my histotripsy done recently by Dr. Royall. I have had other surgeries done and have 6 years experience with stage 4 cancer. (As background). My experience with Dr. Royall was very good AND...he is open to new ideas, patient needs and I only wish my other docs were as insightful and proficient as Dr. Royall. I will return for another time for follow procedure to get more of the tumors and the staff is A#1 as well.
Terrible experience! Have pancreatic cancer and went to Royall for Whipple surgery. After almost 4 months of seeing him, (had to complete chemo) I was referred out to another surgeon. I was told that I need to meet with the other doctor for second opinion, but instead it was to meet to discuss surgery. I was dropped with no explanation and did not have Royall contact me to discuss the situation or any conversation with him about being referred out. Beware, this surgeon is not what he appears to be for complicated surgeries!
