Bakery Disaster I had recently ordered a b-day cake for a party I held on July 19,2008. Not only was the birthday person's name smeared, there was also some dirt (possibly some chocolate cake crumbs) on top of the white icing. The only decorations were one dark purple rose in each corner ( I asked for pale lilac and pink decorations) and the border wasn't executed nicely either. I love my Nell's This is the true old fashioned service with quality product grocery store. Not so big you can't take the overload and great things for special occasions as well as every day needs. Sometimes you pay a little more but most times the sales make up for it. I love the people and their thoughtfulness as well as the food I bring home. My family that comes to visit from western Pennsylvania loves to go to shop there before they return home.
Nell's Spring Road, Carlisle, Penna Lets get this store closed and get a good store in the area to service the residents. Nell's-just does not cut it with stale pastry and sub-standard meats.
Nells Shurfine - Spring Road I've read bad reviews for Nells Shurfine. Let me share some good - for anyone willing to listen to positive feedback. In June 2007 I ordered food for an impromptu wedding party. I literally called them 3 days before I needed the food. I ordered several party subs, finger sandwiches, salads, fruit platters and a sheet cake. Nells Shurfine grocery store This is a good grocery store for sale items, but not to do your whole order at. Their prices are higher and the selection is not as good. Some of the customer service is very slow, but for the most part it's not bad.
