I have been a very very long time Client of both Neiman Marcus ( at the Country House ) and Bergdorf Goodman in NYC, where I have a couple of apartments. I am from the east coast, apparently. Back east I received superlative service, received free gifts, was above In Circle status, and bought tons of items because I tend to purchase a lot more when given good service and assistance. Very high end stuff. If I can't find shoes or the right belt at Nordstroms I'll look here next. I often find something and then look for it online from their website for less. Good selection and staff.
One of the mostly luxurious department stores where you'll find help at every corner. You'll only find name brand designer items here. Don't be shocked at the prices as your paying for the experience as well as the item.
Stay away from their fur department! – My mom bought really expensive chinchilla coat from Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills. She took good care of the coat. After a while, the same coat started to fall apart and now it's not wearable at all! I brought the coat to fur department at NMBH. Their final answer was "Since the coat was not in their possession, there is nothing they can do. Fur specialist can make a scarf out of the coat, but it will cost you $1400." Unbelievable! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! – I ordered a pair of boots for a friend of mine; they were beautiful and priced right. But they were too small, and she returned them. I ordered a replacement pair in a larger size after LastCall assured me they would issue a full refund for the pair she returned. Impressive Jewelry Selection – Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, is my go to place for all my fashion needs. I have been endlessly searching for unique jewelry to add to my special collection, and hunted all the hip trendy shops in LA. It was the same ole same ole designs. Last week I stopped into Neimans and was happily surprised at their designer jewelry section. I especially loved Catherine Angiels work. Its edgy, yet sophisticated. Exactly what I was in search for. Very out of character for Last Call – I'm surprised to read this negative review for Last Call. I live 40 miles away, but make it in every month or so when I'm motivated by a good sale. Sometimes I don't find anything that suits me, and sometimes I hit a total jack-pot...like the St John lemon yellow dress I'm wearing right now that I got for 80 percent off of retail. Snooty – While buying a dress for my daughter, we went to check out and the clerk was very condescending towards both of us.. She swiped my card wrong and said in a snotty manner, "it's declined" and handed it back to me. I told her to to swipe it again, that I had just used it, and she got upset and said "I'll even enter it by hand if you think it will help". Naturally it went through, but how rude!! We'll never shop here again!
Great deals - HORRIBLE service – This is a great place for deals on unusual items - most of the time there isn't a true deal but if you visit frequently you will inevitably find a veritable gem just waiting to be picked up at a great price. The folks on the sales floor are the best! Been shopping there for more than 20 years and most of the time they are outgoing and friendly.
