I was introduced to Dr. Segal through a family friend about seven years ago as I was having an issue eliminating my colorectal cancer which was in stage three. I flew to NYC to meet him and he put me on medication which I continued for two years. From stage 4 to cancer free in one year, thanks to the great care from my lead Oncologist, Dr. Segal, as well as Dr. Wu, Dr. Weiser, Dr. Isbell and their awesome teams. I went from terrified to confident on my first visit and never thought twice about my decision. I highly recommend Dr. Segal!
We sought care with Dr. Segal when my father was initially diagnosed in 2023. During this time, we have been convinced by Dr. Segal’s failure to clearly communicate anything - that my father’s time was up and he had no further options. At times the doctor was very cryptic and alarmist, only to be debunked by other doctors on my father’s care team and I am grateful for them. His bed side manner is horrible. He won’t even shake my Dads hand who flew from Georgia to see him in NY. My Dad asked if he had years to live he responded saying No and walked out the door leaving my Dad hopeless and depressed discouraged at best. He’s was short with us and when we asked if he would follow my Dad case for second opinion he said your Dr in a GA is doing a good job. He is not an empathetic or caring Doctor.My Dad came in for Anal Cancer and he judged him right off treating him like he had the plague. Shame on... read more
