Watching my husband’s experience with Kathy has disgusted me. She is rude and awful at communicating while staying calm. After seeing other reviews, it’s clear she is racist and disrespectful to anyone that calls. My husband has only been kind to this establishment while giving them all the money we have, the least Kathy could do is stay calm and treat people with kindness. If you have the choice, stay away from this place. I hope they close soon, or remove Kathy from the phones she is so unprofessional and cranky!!
I am not a fan of probation but if you have a choice this is your best option. NEFA communicates well and is empathetic to the people they help.
People please don’t come here all they care about is money money money they don’t care about their clients and their well-being. If you do not have the funds to pay they will threaten you by telling you we’re taking you back to court and you’re going to jail. Also Cathy the owner is really racist at first when you meet her she’s really nice then after you sign all your paperwork and enrolled she will make inappropriate racial comments. If you want a good treatment place go to 1st Step house.
My experience with NEFA was terrible! I was in Layton court for a DV charge. NEFA along with other companies show up to these court hearings to prey on vulnerable individuals. They informed me that they had a sliding fee scale. After my assessment they told me that there was never a sliding fee scale. Kathy in particular was listening from a different room on what was supposed to be a private conversation between my therapist and I. She came in and threatened to tell my then probation officer that I was being uncooperative. ... read more
At first I didn't think I was going to like doin any of this stuff.. Turns out I was wrong. It was actually enjoyable and informative and gave me a lot of different insights. Which I like.. Anyways Kathy and Jason are the perfect people for this kind of work they do care about the people that come threw here. As long as you're willing to work with them they'll work with you. I just wanted to mention this. Thanks guys
