Dr. Upadhyaya has been my endocrinologist since I started seeing her during my high risk diabetic pregnancy. Under her care, I was able to reduce my A1c to non-diabetic levels while pregnant (my obgyn was so impressed that she was sending all her diabetic pregnant patients to Dr. Upadhyaya!). She always made herself available to make sure I had the right care needed, listened to me without judgement, and ultimately helped me deliver a happy & healthy baby. Dr. Upadhyaya is one of the most patient and kind doctors I’ve ever been to. As someone with insulin resistance, she has spent an ample amount of time explaining the science behind it, answering all my questions - no matter how silly, and reminding me that it’ll be okay. She’s made making changes to my diet and exercise feel much less daunting and is extremely motivating. After a while of looking for the right endocrinologist who wouldn’t just chat for 5 minutes, prescribe a medicine and then walk out, I’m so happy to be her... read more
