We were originally excited to try this restaurant. It was unfortunately a disappointment for us. I ordered the dish that was supposed to be seared and it showed up medium well. It was also just served with white rice and vegetables that seemed more suited for fajitas. The BBQ chicken pizza tasted good, but was supposed to be grilled chicken and was served breaded/fried. Dinner was amazing, I only wish I could have tried the whole menu. Service was impeccable (Brooke) food outstanding, and portions were huge. The ricotta was so fresh and creamy, the zucchini fried to perfection, and the cacio de pepe excellent. By far one of the better Italian restaurants I have been to. The menu selection was varied and offered enough selections to not become boring.
The food was really a 2.5. Never in my entire life have I left an Italian restaurant hungry, so this was definitely a first! The atmosphere is amazing, and the waitress was wonderful, but the food fell WAY short of my expectations. The mussels came in a thin, tomato water solution with burned bread. Why you wouldn't just use your homemade marinara sauce is beyond me. Thankfully they brought me some marinara on the side and I added it to the tomato water.
