After 13 years of loyalty, I have officially canceled my auto, home, and umbrella policies with NC Farm Bureau. While I previously recommended them, the Burlington Road branch has suffered a severe decline in competence and service over the last two years. Stopped by the local office on Burlington road in Greensboro, North Carolina on Friday , November 28, 2025. Absolutely ZERO help what so ever while inquiring (by referral) regarding a balance to pay off in full of a third person's boat loan. " Here's an 800 # you can call " although the sigh above one of the three ( disinterested) employees stated that " we are here for car insurance, banking , etc Approximately 25 years ago I left Farm Bureau because of some unscrupulous Draconian polices at the time. 15 years with these crooks . Inquired about a claim ( not filed ) . Now we get a letter informing us that we have been dropped from our homeowners policy. This is completely unacceptable and should be a law protecting the consumer from acts like this . We will investigate legal actions on our behalf and will be switching our policies to another company.
Absolutely the BEST insurance company you can have for your vehicle or home. The customer service here is excellent! They treat you like a friend and not just a customer. The agents (Chris) keep track of things and always have my best interest. You become a member and receive discounts on your premium and many different perks. I have been insured with Farm Bureau for over 30 years and couldn't be happier. They are very much appreciated. I highly recommend them!
In Sept 5, 2024 a 82 year old driver insured by Farm Bureau hit my car on the right bumper. Damage was minimal so we did not call the police. BIG mistake, the lady stated she would prefer to pay out of pocket, so we exchanged insurance info. I reported the claim to Farm Bureau and after talking to their insured Farm Bureau decided to deny the claim. It was a 4 way intersection, when I arrived at the intersection she was not there.
