Absolutely the worst bank ever. The online banking apparently takes holidays as well. Deposited a check should of been there instantly still waiting on it. So now I have to figure out how to pay all my bills while I wait for nbt to get there shit together. My husbands ex wife was able to make the online banking account and NBT took zero responsibility for this.
I have deposited the same business check around the first of the month into one my business accounts for at least 8 years. This month NBT put a 7 day hold on it. They were kind enough to mail a letter to me to inform me of the 7 day hold to which I received 8 days later - 6 business days. Business customers since January 2007.
NBT OnLine is the best, easy to use web site of all bank & bank credit card banks that I have used. easy to log in, navigate & even easy to close. Thank you That combined with the Great staffs at the 2 Cooperstown locations make NBT MY BANK OF CHOICE PLEASE DON'T get bought out or change your customer focussed service for any other reason. Mistakes with their scanning equipment has caused deposits to disappear from the account MULTIPLE times, which has caused a lot of problems over the weekend when they weren’t open to fix their mistake. Daily balances are very slow to be updated and often incorrect which makes it hard to track expenses. They took zero financial responsibility for a teller error that caused financial loss.
