I was so happy to finally have some kind of medical "representation " after years of using Maple. I did have an appointment with a doctor that was fine...then I had an appointment that was awful (Fredericton superstore site). I am a nurse. I am well versed in the system so I am fully aware of the limitations etc. I waited over an hour past my appointment time. I was refused my appointment today because I did not have my Medicare on my person; they had plenty of medical visits on record, and I had been there just a few weeks ago; everything is always approved. I would have had to be out of NB continuously for 3 months for my Medicare not to be approved (clearly impossible as I was there a few weeks ago and have had 22 medical visits in NB in the last year). I get it. Shortage of doctors but my expérience going to the Dieppe office has been terrible. First its impossible to get an appt and in 3 years I have never seen the same doctor twice despite heart problems and diabetes. Last visit I mentioned swollen feet and the dr didnt even look! They didnt put me on a scale either and I mentioned gaining weight. Basically the nurse practitioner went over my blood work, called in the doctor and she said everything good. Have a nice day! That was it. Feels like they could care less.
