Navy Federal closed my account and refused to return the $47,251.42 that was in my accounts. My appeal was denied and they lied to me on the phone. Apparently they can keep your money while they do an investigation, indefinitely. I am an 81 year old widow of a Korean War combat veteran. I am taking all steps to report this to federal agencies and the police.
My wife and I have been members at NFCU for over 17 years. We use them for all our banking needs (Checking, Savings, and CDs) along with having a line of credit and multiple credit cards. We also have financed several cars through them. We are currently financing a car with them. Recently, I read an article regarding the CFPB settlement.
