It’s a mini NEX, it has the basics and small uniform selection. Best part is the self checkout. Definitely needs longer hours for the late night personnel. The base also needs a gas station/auto port as gas in town cost more.
NEXCOM’s stated mission, “NEXCOM’s mission is to provide authorized customers with quality goods and services at a savings and to support Navy quality of life programs for active duty military, retirees, reservists, veterans, DoD civilians and families.” Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Navy Exchange’s active mission-not the above statement, that’s for sure.
